Meet the Artist

Jennifer Kanz is a modern day Renaissance Woman with broad intellectual interests and accomplishments in areas of both the arts and the sciences. She is constantly reinventing herself, looking for new challenges and pursuing her dreams through artistic expression. She currently works full time as a licensed massage therapist at Spectrum Therapeutic Massage in Pierre, SD.. Throughout her life, she has pursued artistic expression in music, theater, literary arts, visual arts and dance. In addition to being the founder and President of Waterfront Gallery for the Arts, she is also the proud mother of four adult children: Israel, Abraham, Lydia and Sarah. She has directed shows for Pierre Players Community Theater and has appeared onstage in many others. She has been the lead singer in the local band Jen&Tonic, danced in several productions with Hosanna Dance, LLC in Ft. Pierre, and is currently serving as president of the Short Grass Arts Council. Jen is also the founder and the curator for Waterfront Gallery for the Arts.
