OUR MISSION...
Our main focus is promoting the arts in Central South Dakota.
Plain and Simple.
We do this by providing free venue space for local artists and arts organizations in all artistic disciplines to exhibit or perform their original works. We are also provide meeting space for local organizations and art classes. Waterfront Gallery is privately funded by Spectrum Therapeutic Massage along with donations and contributions from individuals and other arts organizations in the Central South Dakota area. It is our belief that by working together with individual artists, arts organizations, clubs, schools and businesses, the arts can be a strong support for the well-being of our community.

OUR HISTORY
Waterfront Gallery for the Arts became a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization in 2025. It first opened it's doors in April of 2022, fulfilling the vision of it's founder Jen Kanz. As Pierre's only art gallery, it has been a wonderful addition to the community. It is the perfect setting for artists of all disciplines to exhibit their work and for the the community to experience the arts in all their fullness, performances and exhibits, networking and learning.

Waterfront Gallery for the Arts collaborates with local artists and arts organizations hosting fundraisers, art shows, live performances, poetry reading, classes, presentations and gatherings. It also works closely with the Short Grass Arts Council, another local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness for the arts in the community, by co-hosting activities and providing the venue for their events.
