About the event
Opening Minds Through Art (OMA) is an art program that pairs participants (the artists) with volunteers (students, families, caregivers) who are trained to rely on imagination instead of technique, focusing on memory and remaining strengths instead of lost skills. This evidence-based program draws on an understanding of dementia and the needs of persons living with dementia.
The OMA Exhibit will be available at Waterfront Gallery through 4:00pm Wednesday, April 22.
Gallery hours during this exhibit are Wednesdays and Thursdays 11:00am to 4:00pm, and Saturdays 11:00am to 2:00pm. You may also schedule a visit most other days by contacting Jen Kanz at 605-220-0364.
